Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: According to fresh reports, the BAPS temple in Abu Dhabi is going to be inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi on February 14, 2024. The PM has expressed his desire to felicitate the inauguration ceremony in Abu Dhabi and has thanked the rulers for permitting the patch of land for the development of a stone temple in the Middle East. The BAPS Temple is the first Hindu temple to be opened in Abu Dhabi, with construction works commencing in 2015 onwards.

PM Narendra Modi has expressed his gratitude to the ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, for his generous efforts in connecting with other religious practices around the world. Sadhu Brahmaviharidas has also thanked the authorities of Abu Dhabi, along with the rulers, for the fulfillment of the occasion and the deep connection with Indian origins here.

The BAPS Temple has seven spires created on top that resemble the 7 Emirates, which connects a balancing relationship with India altogether. The seven spires also indicate the seven deities, resembling the connectivity of culture and religion across the place.

The Baps Temple is the first Hindu temple to be constructed in Abu Dhabi. The temple covers an area of 27 acres across the desert region and looks like a blooming lotus from a distance. The land was gifted to the temple authorities by the Crowned Ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Al Nahyan. The BAPS temple complex accommodates a 3,000-person worship hall, a visitor area, learning centers, a kid’s playground, a gift shop, a food spot, themed gardens, and water facilities across the place.
